ADIF has awarded INSE RAIL, as part of a joint venture, the contract to provide technical assistance for the control and monitoring of the works to extend the Salteras siding (Seville) to a length of 750m, which includes actions on infrastructure, track, electrification, signalling and communications.
One of the priority actions in upgrade of the Seville-Huelva line is the adaptation of the existing Salteras station to handle 750 m trains by extending the parking and siding tracks.
This station is part of Seville’s Commuter Rail Network, on line C-5 at KM 12/881.
Siding Track 2 will be extended at both ends, constructing the corresponding track platform and superstructure, in addition to installing the necessary electrification and signalling. This expansion will involve the construction of several walls and the expansion of the affected ODT. Both connections of track 2 to track 1 will be equipped with safety handles.
