NSE RAIL has been awarded two new contracts by Renfe Engineering and Maintenance for the upgrade of electrical installations at its maintenance bases in Ourense, Miranda de Ebro and León.
The first contract covers the upgrade of the transformer substation at the Ourense Maintenance Base, with a two-month execution period.
The second includes the upgrade of the High and Low Voltage installations at the Miranda de Ebro Motor Maintenance Base and the Low Voltage installations at the León Motor Maintenance Base, including the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and legalisation of the installations, with an execution period of six months.
These projects form part of the modernisation process of Renfe’s maintenance facilities, which includes new investments across different maintenance bases. In Miranda de Ebro, Renfe has announced new investments as part of its 2025–2030 Comprehensive Workshop and Maintenance Plan, while in Ourense the modernisation and improvement of the energy efficiency of its workshops is planned.
With these two new contracts, INSE RAIL continues to expand its collaboration with the Renfe Group and consolidate its experience in consulting, engineering and installations related to railway maintenance facilities.
