The extension of the Trambaix to the centre of Sant Feliu de Llobregat has reached another important milestone with the advancement of its administrative approval process. This development will allow the project to move forward, supporting a strategic initiative aimed at improving sustainable mobility and enhancing the municipality’s connection to the Barcelona metropolitan public transport network.
INSE RAIL is participating in this project as a member of the TRAM Sant Feliu Joint Venture, together with Barcelona Engineering Workshop, which was awarded by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM) the contract for the preparation of the informative study and the detailed design of the selected alternative for the extension of the Trambaix to the centre of Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
The future extension will strengthen connectivity between Sant Feliu de Llobregat and Barcelona, promote greater integration with other modes of transport, and contribute to a more efficient, accessible and environmentally sustainable mobility model.
Through its participation in this project, INSE RAIL reaffirms its commitment to developing transport infrastructure that enhances people’s mobility and delivers long-term sustainable value to cities.
