The service will be provided at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, located in Plaza del Rey No. 1 in Madrid.
The service will include environmental sampling to determine the asbestos exposure value of workers at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and subsequent analysis in a specialized laboratory.
The environmental measurements will be taken on the building’s different floors (19,246 m2) and facades (923 m) that have fiber cement panels.
The sampling procedure will be the one described in method MTA/MA-051/04 of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Hygiene, “Determination of asbestos fibers and other fibers in air. Membrane filter/phase contrast optical microscopy method”, which is the method recommended by the World Health Organization.
Each of these actions will be certified and a report of the results will be provided, including the location and reference of the sampling point, volume of air sampled, concentration of asbestos fibers, daily exposure index and criterion of conformity (VLA-ED).
This contract strengthens Inse Rail’s position as a leading company in sampling, analysis and inventory to determine levels of asbestos fibers in the environment, a service that it has already provided for different facilities and dependencies of Metro de Madrid, Metro de Valencia, Metro de Barcelona and the City of Getafe.
