Inse Rail, defending real equality

14 April, 2023

Inse Rail adheres to the Code of Best Practices for Talent Management and Improving Company Competitiveness in Defense of Real Equality.

Nearly 40 public and private organizations in the mobility sector have signed the Manifesto and have adopted its commitments regarding equality.

This Manifesto is part of the ‘Millas de Igualdad’ initiative of the Spanish Association of Executives and Board Members (EJE&CON), which promotes best professional practices for gender equality.

The mobility sector is characterized by the limited presence of women, who account for approximately 22%, which leads to a loss of talent and business opportunities. For this reason, the EJE&CON Mobility Forum launched the ‘Millas de Igualdad’ initiative, which is part of the Manifesto and will promote the development of best practices in this sector.

The presentation ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid and was attended by Raquel Sánchez Jiménez, Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, and Cristina Sancho, President of EJE&CON.

Inse Rail participates in the opening of the extension of the Malaga metro to the historic city center

28 March, 2023

On Tuesday, March 27, 2023, a large delegation headed by the president of the Regional Government, Juanma Moreno; the Councilor of Development, Marifrán Carazo and the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, among others, officially opened the route between the stations of Alameda Principal (Atarazanas) and El Corte Inglés (Guadalmedina), kicking off commercial operation of the metro in the center of Málaga.

In addition to political representatives, the event was also attended by citizens, merchants and residents in the area, representatives of the concessionaire company, Metro de Málaga and the companies that participated in the project, including Inse Rail.

Inse Rail’s President, Cesar Cañedo-Argüelles and the Director of the Industrial Division, Oscar Domingo, who oversaw the contract executed by Inse Rail for the Regional Government of Andalusia since March 2022, in consortium with the company Betancourt, were in attendance to represent the company. The purpose of the consortium was to coordinate the most recent works and facilities of the Málaga Metro and to supervise the commissioning before handover to the concessionaire.

The new extension section of the Málaga Metro to the historic city center is one kilometer long, although, since both lines merge between El Perchel and Guadalmedina, the actual infrastructure built is 1.7 kilometers long, with two new underground stations: Guagalmedina and Atarazanas. With this new route, user demand is expected to double from approximately 7 million  to 14 million passengers per year, and continue to offer improvements that strengthen this comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly means of metropolitan transport.

Inse Rail invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the Guadalmedina station of the Malaga metro

28 April, 2022

Last Friday afternoon, Juanma Moreno, president of the Junta de Andalucía, officially opened the Guadalmedina Metro station. The station, the largest in Andalusia, will not open for passengers until August or September. “We would love to see it full of people for the Feria de Málaga,” said the president.

He invited the companies involved in the works, along with the neighborhood associations affected by the project, to participate in the opening of the station. He was joined at the event by the Regional Minister of the Presidency, Elías Bendodo, the Regional Minister of Development, Marifrán Carazo, and the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, along with several members of the City Council.

He reiterated that the Metro is finished and is just awaiting the safety tests, which depend on the Railway Safety Agency and cannot be carried out sooner. Three things remain to be done, he explained: the completion of the safety tests, the museum display of the archaeological remains that can be visited free of charge right in the station and, most importantly, the arrival of the passengers.

Inse Rail was represented at the event by the company’s president, Cesar Cañedo-Argüelles, and the Director of the Industrial Area, Oscar Domingo, who is responsible for the execution of the contract signed last March with the Junta de Andalucía as part of a consortium with the company Betancourt Ingenieros, to coordinate the final works of the Malaga Metro for handover to the concessionaire and to supervise the start-up.

INSE RAIL and the UNIVERSITY OF CANTABRIA sign an Educational Cooperation Agreement

27 December, 2020

This agreement gives continuity to the collaboration framework initiated in 2019 between the two institutions with the participation of INSE RAIL in the Railway Master’s program promoted by MAFEX and by the UNIVERSITY OF CANTABRIA.

INSE RAIL will be in charge of closing Module I with the class “Innovation in Railway Companies”, taught by our Director of Innovation and Development, Carlos Gustavo García. INSE RAIL also offers paid internships to students of the master’s program to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the program.

The external internships are a training activity carried out by university students, to apply the knowledge acquired during their academic training, with the aim of promoting the acquisition of skills that prepare them to exercise professional activities, facilitate their employability and promote their entrepreneurial skills.

Both parties agree that the practical training of students is of great interest for both to the University, which is responsible for the quality of its teaching, and to INSE RAIL, the sector and society in general, since it contributes better professional preparation of university graduates.
