The twelve-month contract is part of the project to extend Lines 1 and 2, which are currently in commercial operation, to include the new Renfe-Guadalmedina-Atarazanas section that is currently under construction.

Inse Rail, in consortium with Betancourt Ingenieros, will be in charge of coordinating the handover of the final works and the commissioning of the connection of the new route. The tasks include the procedure for verifying correct execution of the works, installations and railway signaling systems for handover to the operating company that will be responsible for putting them into service. It will also be responsible preparing all of the final technical documentation for the concessionaire, both for the two sections of the line and for the Guadalmedina and Atarazanas stations. This process will ensure that the project meets all of the necessary requirements to begin operations.
