ADIF has taken a new step towards completing the integration of the railway in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Baix Llobregat) with the award of the contract to draft the project for the dismantling of the track and the railway installations that will be out of service after the underground route has been implemented.
The project will eliminate the last remaining traces of the railway on the surface where it passes through the city center.
The scope of project covers about three kilometres of the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat–Vilafranca del Penedès–Sant Vicenç de Calders line, coinciding with the existing surface route. This is one of the final phases of one of the most important projects that Adif is currently executing in Rodalies, aimed at definitively reuniting the city and eliminating a historical barrier between its two halves.
