Construction Projects for the Traffic Control (ERTMS), Automatic Train Protection, Landline and GSM-R Mobile Telecommunications, and Safety of the Olmedo-Ourense section of the Madrid-Galicia High Speed Line.
The Madrid-Galicia Line of the North-Northwest Railway Corridor is the focus of one of the investment strategies for the High Speed Network that are included in the Strategic Infrastructure Plan 2005-2020 (PEIT 2005-2020), as a high performance line and with exclusive traffic for passengers.
This is a new route with a length of 420 km that will be the principal railway access between Madrid and Galicia. It starts at the split from the Madrid-Valladolid line in Olmedo and will terminate in Ourense, where it links with Galicia’s Atlantic Axis.
INSERAIL is developing the construction projects for the interlocking installations, train protection systems, centralized traffic control and auxiliary detection systems, landline telecommunications installations, protection and safety, GSM-R mobile telecommunications, as well as the overhaul of affected conventional-gauge lines.
All of the projects use the most advanced technologies on the market, complying with all internal requirements of national and international regulations, as well as interoperability criteria for a high performance line.
