Metro de Madrid is engaged in strategic projects to overhaul, modernize and legalize the low voltage installations in the oldest stations and facilities of its network to ensure that they conform with regulations. This requires the updating and renovation of the electrical installations, as well as the corresponding legalization procedures.
Inse Rail, along with seven other companies, was selected to carry out these actions, as part of framework agreement signed with Metro de Madrid in February 2019, under which Inse Rail has already executed five support contracts to provide technical assistance to Metro de Madrid in the El Carmen, Puerta de Toledo, Pirámides, Carabanchel and Estación del Arte stations.
These last two contracts make a total of seven Metro de Madrid stations in which Inse Rail will provide its services to overhaul and modernize the energy distribution facilities, which include the subsystems of transformer substations (CTS), general low voltage switchboards (CGBT), low-voltage emergency voltage (ABS), tunnel lighting (ILT), station lighting (ILE), and industrial facility lighting (ILD).
