Adif has awarded Inse Rail the contract to draft the construction project for the overhead contact line and associated systems for the Archidona and La Chana Splits of the Antequera-Granada High Speed Line on the Mediterranean Corridor, in the sections in which double-track platforms have been built but that currently have only a single track.
The project also includes the electrification of tracks 8 and 9 in the station, as well as the actions required in the installations of the substations and Intermediate Transformation Centers for the “proper electrification of the second track. Remotes will also have to be installed for new catenary isolators, along with the upgrades to remotely control the new installations from local stations and from the central remote control station.”
The completion time is one year, after which, the procedure for the bidding, contract award, and the execution of the works will begin.
