{"id":7773,"date":"2026-08-27T19:52:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inserail.es\/?p=7773"},"modified":"2026-08-27T19:52:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T17:52:10","slug":"inse-rail-completes-its-participation-in-major-railway-modernisation-projects-in-portugal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inserail.es\/en\/inse-rail-completes-its-participation-in-major-railway-modernisation-projects-in-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"INSE RAIL completes its participation in major railway modernisation projects in Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">INSE RAIL has completed this August, together with FASE \u2013 Estudos e Projectos, S.A., its participation in an important set of railway network modernisation projects in Portugal for&nbsp;<strong>Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP)<\/strong>, consolidating several years of collaboration on technically complex railway projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The works have covered different sections of the&nbsp;<strong>Minho, Northern and Western Lines<\/strong>, as well as the Alfarelos and Louri\u00e7al branch lines, together with works at&nbsp;<strong>Campolide, Oriente, Alverca and Azambuja stations<\/strong>. The overall scope has included the installation and commissioning of new electronic signalling systems, telecommunications systems,&nbsp;<strong>ETCS Level 1<\/strong>&nbsp;speed control, the integration of signalling systems into the Operational Command Centres in Porto and Lisbon, as well as various works involving power systems and other railway infrastructure elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of these projects, INSE RAIL has provided specialist teams in&nbsp;<strong>signalling, telecommunications, traction current return and protective earthing, ETCS\/ATPN, and occupational health and safety<\/strong>, taking part in project management and coordination, supervision and control of works, planning, cost and quantity control, quality management and safety coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The projects supervised by the consortium have reached a total value of&nbsp;<strong>more than \u20ac141 million<\/strong>, comprising&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac84.2 million<\/strong>&nbsp;corresponding to works carried out on different sections of the railway network and&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac56.9 million<\/strong>&nbsp;associated with the modernisation works at Campolide, Oriente, Alverca and Azambuja stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">INSE RAIL\u2019s participation has been carried out within consortia led by FASE \u2013 Estudos e Projectos, S.A., contributing the experience and specialist expertise of its technical teams in signalling, telecommunications and railway safety systems.
