Last Friday afternoon, Juanma Moreno, president of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, officially opened the Guadalmedina Metro station. The station, the largest in Andalusia, will not open for passengers until August or September. “We would love to see it full of people for the Feria de M\u00e1laga,” said the president.<\/p>\r\n
He invited the companies involved in the works, along with the neighborhood associations affected by the project, to participate in the opening of the station. He was joined at the event by the Regional Minister of the Presidency, El\u00edas Bendodo, the Regional Minister of Development, Marifr\u00e1n Carazo, and the Mayor of M\u00e1laga, Francisco de la Torre, along with several members of the City Council.<\/p>\r\n
\r\nHe reiterated that the Metro is finished and is just awaiting the safety tests, which depend on the Railway Safety Agency and cannot be carried out sooner. Three things remain to be done, he explained: the completion of the safety tests, the museum display of the archaeological remains that can be visited free of charge right in the station and, most importantly, the arrival of the passengers<\/span>.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\nInse Rail was represented at the event by the company’s president, Cesar Ca\u00f1edo-Arg\u00fcelles, and the Director of the Industrial Area, Oscar Domingo, who is responsible for the execution of the contract signed last March with the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda as part of a consortium with the company Betancourt Ingenieros, to coordinate the final works of the Malaga Metro for handover to the concessionaire and to supervise the start-up<\/span>.<\/p>\r\n\u00a0<\/div>\r\n
